About the Artists:

Giang
9/29/47 - 11/1/00
Giang began doing stained glass artwork as a hobby in 1982, while helping his wife [now ex-wife] on a project of hers in Key Largo, Florida. While chaufferring his wife to get supplies, he discovered that, with the right equipment, creating stained glass artwork was not too difficult for him; even though Giang says, "I had trouble drawing stick people". Following his return to North Carolina, "for the lack of anything (legal) to keep my mind {?} busy", he converted his basement to an assembly plant for the hobby he had acquired. Unfortunately, he has given away most of the stained glass artwork, except for these pieces...

Sculptor

In the late 1980's, Ron began his technique in bronze sculpting in the remote mountain area of Libby, Montana. The casting process is very time consuming from the beginning of the sculpture to pouring the piece in bronze. In 1990 Ron Adamson built his own foundry. In July of '97, a move to Gardnerville Nevada and the commission to sculpt a life sized man with a guitar, from the "Eagles" song "Take it Easy", had stopped bronze production on all other bronze sculptures. The sculpture for the "Standin' On A Corner" Park, is now complete and newer sculptures are now becoming available..

SnapMan

Philip Rosz, born in London, U.K. 1955; currently living in Sydney, Australia. Phil finished a course in Art and Design in 1974, and then worked in black and white darkrooms, in the advertising industry, while learning the practical side of studio photography. He eventually became a studio photographer, which meant catalogue and advertising photography. The most notable being that of still life photographer for the David Jones Department Store, Sydney. Since then Phil has photographed many people (portraits and groups) for dance studios, schools, families, graduations, sports teams, weddings and other special events, while still occasionally shooting products for web site use, etc.

Deepsees

For most of his life, he has been aware of his ability to accomplish artistic endeavors well. As art seemed like recreation, he sought a more technical field in which to apply his talents. Prior to his 3D modeling and animation, he worked in metallurgy and was a partner in a sucessful engineering and calibration firm located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida. With the advent of faster, reasonably priced processors, he decided to sell his interest in the partnership and become a full-time freelance 3D animator. The year 2000 will see the release of his first CD of commercial advertising animation and music scores.

JAFO

His interest in eggs began with pictures of Faberge eggs in a book of his wife's. Being a modeller, he was fascinated with the work that went into creating them. He later discovered that Faberge did not use real eggs and was very disappointed. JAFO started hollowing out eggs and creating small art scenes to go inside of them. His first insert was a small nativity scene carved from wood. Since then he has created many different works of art for the inside of the eggs...from airplanes and star ships to a miniature Vietnam memorial of the three soldiers. His favorite eggs contain sailing ships and light houses.

ScootR

About five years ago he was trying to sell his Koral Sculptures to SeaWorld. Though they liked the sculptures, they thought the Maple bases were too fancy, and asked him to come back when he had found a more suitable base material. Of all the different materials with which he experimented, sand seemed to match their theme the best. It took 6 months of trial and error to find a binder system that gave the look of a "wet sand" texture. Once the formula was discovered, ScootR started making all kinds of shapes and colors. He then taught himself how to make molds so that he could duplicate pieces he liked. All these commissioned works and more, can take from just a few days to a week to complete.

RustieRose

Marthe, age 29, for 20th time, or until she get it right, lives in Western Colorado, not Denver. Marthe has two natural children, a boy 31 and a girl 25; and, two that adopted her, a girl 25 and a boy 30. She is a grannie and was recently told a greatgrannie too.
Marthe is a retired arts and crafts teacher. She loves to crochet, embroider, paint, cook, bake and live in the country. She claims that she does not paint, but instead, smears paint. She was given the program, Paint Shop Pro5 because she gets easily bored. She told her benefactors that she couldn't paint on a pc. However, Marthe loves mixing the colors, and if they are not just right hitting delete. She has also discovered it to be less of a mess. Many of the paintings were done of the view from her office/bedroom window; this is as close as she can get to sharing Colorado with all of her friends. She hopes you enjoy what you find here.
