It's our favorite time of year again and that's our ANNUAL HOLIDAY GIFT EXCHANGE!! If you would like to be included in this time honoured event..please send an email to LadyH which includes:

Your Real Name
Your Home Address
Your Email Address
A wish list of items you would like to receive (it makes it easier for your Secret Santa!)
This can also be a favorite charity instead of a gift.
Your personal details will only be known to me and your Secret Santa.
You will be issued with a partner to whom you will send a gift to the value of $15. The idea of this exchange is that it is a gift of friendship from the heart so please do not wait until you receive a gift before sending yours out. This year, it will be a stipulation that all packages have tracking numbers and those numbers are to be emailed to me so that we can keep track of the gift that was sent. The gift exchange is only open to well known members of 40plus for obvious reasons.
Your names must be sent to me by November 18 for inclusion.
You will be given a partner name by November 24. Your gift should be sent as soon as possible upon receiving your partner info. Anyone not fulfilling their committment will not be permitted to participate in any future gift exchanges.
RADIO 40PLUS!!
As always in the past, 40plus loves to bring new enhancements to our chatroom, and we are proud to annouce that we have our very own Radio 40plus!! Your roomies are the DJ's and we try to keep music flowing 24/7 either by having live DJ's interacting with the room and taking requests, or a musical stream. 40PLUS HAS IT'S VERY OWN ONLINE STORE!!
Aside from the 40plus Amazon.com Online Store, the 40plus WebSite has added the 40plus Market Place Online Store. This site has taken a few months to get up and going, and now it's ready to go in time for the holidays! It has over 300 trusted merchants and thousands of products. 40plus does NOT take any of the sales. Any of the sales are done directly with the merchant and their secure servers, so that your purchases are completely safe. We are just providing them with a gateway, in exchange, they give us LOTS of great coupons and 'web only' specials. You can shop by choosing the store from the Pull Down List or you can shop by Category and Comparison Shop. Have a play with the search engines to see how they work so that you don't feel totally lost there.
For people that don't like graphics or have slower machines, there is also a Text Merchant List available. It lists all the merchants and also has a green (i) INFO icon that tells you a little about the store when you hover your mouse over it.
Another feature is the Last Minute page. This page will list Sales & Coupons that are ending within a few days. It also lists a whole bunch of fabulous CONTESTS that you can enter by just clicking the link! Bookmark and visit this page often so you will know where to shop in a hurry for the best discount.
New merchants are joining all the time, so please try to familiarise yourself with the list. If you have a favourite merchant that isn't listed, please write to me and I'll see if we can add them for some specials offers.
Each merchant has a 'Coupon' page that you will link too when you choose them from the Pull Down List. Always click on the banners and text links to ACTIVATE YOUR COUPONS!! This is most important even if you're not ready to shop yet. Most of the time the store recognises you from your activation and you will still be eligible for discounts, but you won't know if you never Click!!
To save you a lot of trouble, you can Download our very own Google Tool Bar!! It comes with all of 40plus's relevant web page links to help you get around as well as other cool features. It also has a radio on it!.

40plus WebSite has added a 40plus Blog site that you can air your views and opinions. You don't need to register to leave a comment, but you do need to register to leave a new Post. If you are new to blogging, you might want to Read More here. With so much in the news, blogging has become the internet voice of the future.
Unlike a Discussion Board or Email Listserv, you can submit newspaper articles or video clips in a blog on any subject on anyone's blog site. There are many topics already flying around and you can leave comments on any Post that you find on a Blog board.
The 40plus Blog site is just the starting point. There are many topics from fellow bloggers listed there, so feel free to blog away! You may start any new topic that you like on the 40lus Blog site as well and I'm pretty sure that you will receive replies to your blogs in an emai. It might be an article from your local newspaper that the rest of us won't see. It might just be something that you feel strongly about. Blog sites are universal forums and a great added feature to the wonderful world of cyberspace! Take a visit and feel your way around, try the links offered and see if it inspires you! If you do not use this procedure, you will not be able to 'speak'

• WebTV users can join #40plus by using Starchat's
Web TV Interface. This link will set you up for joining #40plus direct.
• #40plus also has it's own Email Listserv, which is available to active members of 40plus only. You can subscribe to our Yahoo Group listserv
by sending a blank Email here. You may unsubscribe at any time. The new listserv also acts as a Message Board where you have the option to turn your emails on and off in your preferences. This is handy for people with overflowing inboxes who would just like to view the messages at their own convenience on the board, or if you are going on vacation and don't want to find your inbox exploding when you come back.
As with any Yahoo product, you will need to register with a Yahoo ID and password to view the Message Board. If you are not recognised when you go to the board, then just click Sign In and you will be reading and posting in no time!
