ScootR's Sand Sculptures

Title: "Black and White" Deion: This is ScootR's favorite piece. He loves the balance of black and white sand. The base piece is made of 19 alternating layers of black and white sand, while 5 pounds each, of white and black sand, complete this sculpture. He wanted this piece to appear as though it was formed by Mother Nature allowing millions of gallons of water to flow through a bed of sandstone Price: $200.00 Purchase Info: ScootR	Title: "Beach Group" Deion: Scootr was born and raised in Myrtle Beach and loves the beach and ocean. Title: "Mother and Child" Deion: The base sandstone used to make this piece was cast in a plastic yogurt cup and then sculpted using a Dremmel tool. ScootR had no idea what he was going to sculpt, when he removed the base piece from the mold. He began shaping and the Mother and Child piece is what evolved. This is one of the smallest pieces he's done. Price: $25.00 Purchase Info: ScootR	Title: "Sarcophagus" Deion: This piece was part of ScootR's Egyptian phase. Though only 10" long, it took more time to make than any other piece. A friend of ScootR's was almost arrested, by the Egyptian army, for trying to take five pounds of sand out of the country in his luggage. They took the sand but let him leave the country in one piece. ScootR completed the piece using sand from a Titanium mine. The small specs of Titanium made the piece look like original Egyptian Sandstone. Price: $50.00 Purchase Info: ScootR
Title: "Koral Piece with Wooden Fish" Deion: This was ScootR's first big Koral sculpture and is made from High Grade Porcelain. It is approximately 12" high, 12" long, 8" wide and has a 3" thick sand base that covers the entire bottom. He used a 3 step process to make the Koral piece which took 2 weeks to complete. (He didn't carve the fish.) Price: Not For Sale	Title: "Red Lobster" Deion: The red lobster was made in hopes of selling one to each Red Lobster Restaurant. Title: "Coke Bottle" Deion: This bottle was made by using a plastic Coke Bottle, found by Kylie and ScootR in Las Vegas, as a mold. The bottle was destroyed when the casting was removed from it. Price: Not For Sale	Title: "Cubes" Deion: These cubes are 8" x 8" x 8" and one is cast inside the other for a monolithic effect.
